Note: Some state laws require that safety-chain loops be attached to points independent of the ball or coupler. This is of particular note if you have a gooseneck trailer hitch with built-in safety-chain loops. Because those loops are attached to the hitch itself, additional safety-chain hookup points are required. If you have a gooseneck hitch that mounts to standard fifth-wheel base rails, the Curt safety-chain brackets will satisfy this state requirement.
Washington and New York have these laws in place. Check with your state's Department of Transportation to determine the requirements for your area.

This product is exactly as advertised, fits in the standard industrial rails perfectly. These hooks are being used for safety chains for an Andersen Ultimate Hitch (rail version).

They are exactly what their designed to be. Mine fit a little snug. Actually had to tap the pins in and out. Not a huge issue, I keep a small hammer in the truck anyway.
