Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Advent Air Diagnostic Kit for air conditioners and heat pumps. This diagnostic kit lets you troubleshoot your Advent Air or Dometic RV AC unit or heat pump so you can pinpoint and fix the problem without having to cut your camping trip short. Now this is going to work with Advent Air AC units and Dometic Brisk Air I and II model AC units. And as you can see, we have three switches that are going allow independent testing of different components and they're clearly labeled and identified here.
We have our compressor switch and then we have our fan switch. And then we have a setting switch here that's going to assess the high, medium, and low fan speeds. So we have this on low, medium, and high. And so as you can see, it looks like it's a very simple operation. This is a simple connection that with this white plug that's going to connect to your relay box on your air distribution box.
And then this three-prong, male plug is going to insert into your standard outlet. This is also going to include the heat pump test harness. So again, this is going to be able to test your air conditioner and your heat pump. So this is UL and cUL certified. And let me pull out my ruler here and just give you some measurements here so you have a good idea of just how big this unit is.
Looking at the overall length at the longest point here, we are sitting right at about 5 5/8" long, and then looking at the width at the widest point, we are sitting right at about 3 1/4" inches wide. And then the overall height, we are sitting right at about 2 1/2" tall or thick, however you'd like to describe that. The wire gauge is 16 gauge wire. And again, this is not only for the air conditioner, but also for your heat pump. It works great, but I might add that y’all should make a adapter to test Coleman. I actually made my own using the harness from an old Dometic and Coleman
