used to lock 5th wheel plate to 5th wheel hitch body. Worked just as I wanted. Good product, keyed alike, fair price. Thank you.

one year later and Still completely satisfied. Thank You1

by:

Used this to lock my Hitch Adapter to the 1.25" hitch of my 08 Honda Fit. Works great. Still had to get a hitch clamp due to too much play between the adapter and my hitch, but the lock does what it's supposed to do. Very easy to use and comes with (2) keys. Would highly recommend buying if you want to secure any accessory to your 1.25" hitch.

by:

This product has some very subtle features that add substantially to it's functionality. There is no "UP" or "DOWN" for the key - it fits both ways! You can turn the lock end or the pin end to undo it - good if one side is difficult to reach! And I was able to buy three of them from etrailer.com that were all keyed alike! I have two Model Ts and a Model A all with trailer hitches for pulling a vintage camper and now I don't have to worry about having the right key when I go on a trip.

by:

Purchased two of these for a custom dual 1.5" auxiliary receivers. Wasn't sure if it was going to fit because they have a 2" OD receiver, but these fit nice and snug. No slop or play which is exactly what I was looking for and they were keyed alike.

by:

Nice product, just had an issue when installing. item did not slide into the
receiver/hitch open hole smoothly had to tap it with a hammer also when removing it. This had to do with the hole alignment not the product.

by:

Perfect! Fast delivery too!

Works fine

Great! Lock still works great—haven’t had to use any lubricant at all. Still pleased with etrailer’s excellent customer service!!

by:

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock came as promised and worked well on my 1-1/4" hitch receiver. The instructions for locking and unlocking were clear, and I now feel that my bike rack is safe and sound locked on the receiver. Great product!

by:

Excellent hitch lock. It’s feels like good quality and the lock, locks tight which I like. Bought 2 and had them both keyed the same, very happy with my purchase.

by:

I’m very happy with my purchase!

Got this to insure that my receiver light doesn't disappear.

Great product that has kept my trailers safe and my hitch brake light safe.

Special thanks to Goerge J. for expedititing my latest order. I am completely satisfied with all of the items that I ordered from etrailer and would recommend the entire package to anyone who wants to make their Chevy Trax a "little hauler". My next move is to go out and buy the trailer so that I can put all of those great products to work. Thanks again etrailer.

Bought my trailer from [store]. Pulled the 5x8 trailer from Colorado to Michigan and back and it went without a hitch you might say. At 400 lbs I hardly knew it was being pulled behind me and I would have to say that the whole package of items I purchased from etrailer performed flawlessly. Thanks again etrailer.

by:

I just received the Hitch Receiver lock. I like the fact that you can lock it as opposed to the pin lock. I have not used it yet but so far ordering, delivery and product has been great. Thanks.

by:

This is an easy lock to use, and stows really well whenever it's not in use, and is well constructed! I look forward to many more years of good use. I especially like that I was able to get it keyed to match a similar lock for my 2" hitch!

by:

What do you do when you need three trailers coupler locks and two trailer hitch receiver locks all keyed the same.......order them from Etrailer.

Thanks for all your help Katie, awsome customer service!!!

by:

Because this product screws on tight I feel our bicycle rack and bicycles are better protected from being stolen.

by:

While this seems to be a sturdy, well-made product, it is not the optimum set-up for a Subaru Outback equipped with a factory-installed 1.25" hitch.
Quite simply, the pin hole drilled in the 1.25" section is not where it should be. In order for it to line up with the hole in the Subaru hitch, the hole would need to be another 1.5" or so closer to the "rear". Not that this doesn't work, for it does--- but with the unit sticking out yet another 1.5" or so from the hitch. To remedy this, I drilled another half inch hole into the unit where it should be located. Now it works great, but it took considerable effort (and a $20 titanium drill bit) to get it right.
Again, this unit will work in a Subaru Outback without drilling another hole in it; it's just not optimal.

etrailer.com has an incredible selection, web site, and knowledgable customer service to match. I needed keyed alike hitch receiver locks for a 2" and 1"1/4 receivers, because I move by bike rack between 2 vehicles. They answered my email request the same day and were able to provide the EXACT solution I needed. I would not have been able to get this solution from any of the big box stores. The product shipped quickly, worked like a charm, and was exactly what I needed. This is the second successful order I have made from etrailer.com and will definitely use them again.

by:

Great service ... the young ladies whom I dealt with at Etrailer were courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. After placing my initial order, I shortly recognized the advisability of adding a bolt-lock to the order (it WAS suggested to me by the young lady who first took my order but I declined it) --- I appreciated the effort Tamara in Customer Service put into modifying my order and still getting everything shipped the same day. The items arrived at my house in western New York State sooner than I expected. I was able to install the hitch to the underside of my 2007 Honda Fit with reasonable effort -- I am very satisfied with the hitch too. I haven't actually used the platform bike carrier yet but will do so in a few days and I think I will be pleased with it. I'm also glad I got the bolt-lock.

by:

Doesn't fit through the receiver and the extension to lock it onto my car so it pretty much worthless. Cannot seem to make contact with anyone at e-trailer to return it

by:

Great lock. I like the way it snugs tight on the receiver. This will be a big help in securing our pair of Pedego electric bikes on our RV. Also, Ashley was terrific in understanding what I needed (two different size locks), and my desire for both being keyed the same. She put our order together so there wasn't a lot I had to do. Five stars Ashley

Great. Works as expected

by:

This lock has different way of unlocking and locking by turning the key in the lock until it opens or is locked. Not a bad thing as the lock appears to have excellent security against attempts to break it by thieves. The finish on the lock appears to have good protection against the elements. All hitch locks should be designed this well. The one that matches it is the Bulldog hitch lock for a 2 inch receiver.

by:

Product works as described. Did have to drill hole as hitch lock would not otherwise fit my Kuat Sherpa 2.0 rack

  • Available Jeep Trailer Hitch Receiver Covers
We do offer a range of trailer hitch covers with the Jeep theme and all can be seen on the link provided. The nearest to the description you provided is the oval-shape # PC002258R01 from Chroma. This fits both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches and features a brushed aluminum face. This does not include a hitch pin and clip, but these are available separately: part # PC2 for a 1-1/4-inch hitch or part # PC3 for a 2-inch. • Locking Hitch Pin Recommendations for a Trailer Hitch on a 2007 Honda CR-V
To deter theft, a regular hitch pin such as # PC3 for a 2 inch hitch or # PC2 for a 1-1/4 inch hitch would not do anything. A thief could just pull of the clip and pin and remove the accessory installed in the hitch. A locking hitch pin like # e98880 for a 2 inch hitch or # e98879 for a 1-1/4 inch hitch is the way to go. These will actually lock the accessory to the hitch. Without the key a would-be thief would have to have power tools and enough time to defeat the lock. Thieves are a...

  • Recommended Hitch Pin for Trailer Hitch on 2013 Fiat 500
Since there is not much space around the hitch pin hole for a standard elbow style pin like # C21500, I recommend looking at a straight, locking hitch pin like our etrailer.com # e98879. This is a straight hitch pin that will also be an upgrade over your existing unit because of its locking capability. Its chrome plating will resist rust and the covered key slot will prevent internal corrosion. This is compatible with the 1-1/4 inch receiver on your 2013 Fiat and should work great to resolve...

  • Comparing Velcro/Hook and Loop Straps to Rubber Straps on a Bike Rack and 3-Bike Rack Recommendation
First, Velcro or hook and loop as they are called if not the Velcro brand, are considered less superior to other types of straps including rubber. They are not as durable as rubber. The thing with rubber straps though is that they can get over-stretched. That happens because people think the straps have to be as tight as possible but they don't. They just have to be snug. Rubber is also better at protecting the bike frames. Hook and loop straps will still work fine in the rain. They are...
