The lock is easy to use and no-one has stolen the bike rack off the car and we've parked in various hotel parking lots with the rack on the car while on road trips. although that could just be because there really aren't that many people who would steal a bike rack off of a car.

I'm happy with the product but have one observation. The length of the hitch pin is about 3/16 inch too short to use with the included washers. I can only get it to lock correctly with no washers. Thanks

Very sturdy lock that fits my bike rack. I didn’t hook the bike rack up to the trailer hitch but the photo shows that it fits. There is other locks on the market but I highly recommend this lock!

Easy to defeat it's security; not including an angle grinder or the lock picking lawyer. It is the exact replacement for the original Transit Platform rack lock sold at Performance Bike. I will use it and hope a thief will not discover the design defect! Your company is the best. USPS took an entire 7 days to deliver.

I purchased this to connect my new Curt Tray-style Bike Rack (model # 18085) to my new Curt Custom Fit-Class III- 2", Trailer hitch (model # 13530). All of this went on my 2008 Lexus CR350 SUV. I was concerned that was not listed to fit the Curt model hitch and bike rack but it was exactly what was needed to keep. My new equipment locked. I could not be happier. I was able to install everything by myself in minutes. Everything was a perfect fit and now I am ready to take my bikes anywhere!

This anti-rattle hitch lock was recommended to me by etrailer to fit a Curt 2 bike rack. Curt does not make an anti-rattle hitch lock for their bike rack nor would they recommend one. However, etrailer provided great assistance to recommend a product that would fit. A previously purchased lock did not fit as the threads did not match. The manufacturers try to sole source their products by changing thread configurations so only their products work on their equipment. Be careful when ordering from varied suppliers to insure products work together. This product is sturdy and meets my needs to fit the Curt rack and provides security for my rack when traveling.

I purchased this lock to lock my new Curt bike rack onto my Subaru CrossTrec. I first contacted Curt and they said that they did not have locks. this hitch locking pin SR0901 is used to replace the unlockable
hitch pin came from my sport rack 2 bike carrier SR 2901, with
this locking pin I feel safer in use. And satistically from customer
response this locking pin SR0901 has no break down record
to date. ( The unlockable pin A30901 LHP have been mentioned
two times by customer due to breakage ).

The Thule Bike Rack Thread is not metric and what you send is metric.
Unfortunately I bought it a year ago and did not use it until last weekend and had to buy a "normal" Screw to fix it.

Although Thule owns SportRack, the bike rack hitch locks from Thule and SportRack are NOT interchangeable. Since you have a Thule bike rack, youd need to go with a Thule hitch lock, which is part # THSTL2.

Pros:Unique product that works with the Curt 18065 rack; bolt is of decent quality.
Cons: Plastic shell on the lock falls apart in your hand; shell is not moisture-tight; sliding dirt cover is a loose piece inside the shell that falls out when the end cap is removed; keyhole faces under the car when the lock is on the left (as necessary with the Curt rack); very overpriced, especially considering the cheap plastic shell.

It’s the exact product for my sportrack vista. The only issue is a small one. The key cover is loose so i will need to tape that. Its a known issue looking at reviews. But finding an alternative is not so easy because no size is published for the bolt and sportrack was zero help for that.but etrailer shipped quickly and fair pricing.

Would have been nice to have all locks on one bike rack match. Thule made them all different. Not just a different code, I mean the keys are completely different! Now I have 3 keys for 1 rack

Thule has quite a few different lock cores. Its more secure for their customers that way an owner of a particular bike rack, can access every example of that same model.You can purchase a core kit from Thule and replace the locks so that you have a matching set on Thule products. They do not necessarily carry over to be used with Sportrack.

Many bike rack manufacturers produce threaded anti-rattle locking pins for their bike racks, and most of them will only work with racks produced by that particular manufacturer. The list of racks that this lock is compatible with is provided above in the product description.

The thread on the SportRack Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers part # SR0901 is proprietary so it only works with the SportRack shanks of their products. If you let me know which brand bike rack you have, I am happy to assist in finding the correct part.

This purchase was a replacement for a lock purchased at a competitor. That lock was supposed to work with our bike rack, but did not. We then purchased this lock from etrailer. The lock has worked great (just as advertised). We are very happy with both our etrailer purchases (we also purchased the bike rack from etrailer). We would recommend etrailer to a friend and will definitely purchase from them in the future.

Ive been using the anti-rattle hitch lock for about a year now and have no problems. It works well. The bolt is strong and provides a sturdy, tight fit for the rack. Lock has been working well although have not had it in any severe weather, water, ice or dirt conditions to see if any impacts to the lock mechanism.
