Although I haven't utilized the products they appear what I ordered. The shipping was free, but took quite awhile to arrive... fortunately the electrical items to wire my trailer were not required in a real timely manner. I am excited to eventually get m;y lights and brakes wired on my custom trailer. I will befurther reviewing the helpful instructions when ready. Should be amazing, am excited.

  • Troubleshooting No Turn or Brake Signals on a 5th Wheel Trailer
Thank you for all of the info! The best way to determine where to start is by checking the turn and brake signals on your truck connector with a tester like part # PK12741 which plugs right into your 7-Way. The trailer lights are on a different circuit from your truck tail lights (unless you have an older truck with a splice-in wiring kit) so it's quite possible that your truck lights are working fine but the issue still lies with your truck wiring. If the tester shows that the truck...

  • Trailer Wiring Using Wishbone or Y-Harness 4-Way Trailer Connector
The 20 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - Wishbone Style - 30" Ground # A20WB simply has two wires that connect to the running light pin of the 4-way. There isn't a 5 wire we carry in spools or by the foot, but we do carry the Bonded 4 Wire - per foot # 16-4B-1 and then you can add Primary Wire - 16-Gauge - White - per Foot # DW02359-1 for the additional running light wire. You can connect these to a 4-way flat connector using the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Fix Replacement 4-Way Flat Trailer...

  • Diagram For Brake Controller Installation on a 2006 Volkswagen Touraeg V10
The Tech Bulletin that you were looking at, see link, is the best resource we have for installing a brake controller on the 2006 Volkswagen Touareg. I think that I can expand on the instructions a bit to make a bit of sense out of the wording, and I have a photo of the parts you should get, see link. You will need to purchase 2 wire assemblies from VW, part number 000-979-228, that will have wire terminals on both ends. You will need to cut each assembly in half to create 4 wires. The...

  • Adding 5-Way With 25 Feet of Wire to Back of Trailer For Lights on Cargo Carrier
So I think we have a solution here for you, but there isn't a vehicle-end 5-way that has 25 feet of wire, so you'll need to splice in additional wire. As for using the blue wire, that is the reverse light wire on the 5-way, so you would need that since you want to utilize a reverse light. Here is what you would need: - Hopkins Wiring Harness with 5-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - 5' Long # HM37908 - Primary Wire - 16-Gauge - White - per Foot # DW02359-1 - Deka Heat Shrink...

  • Can MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent W/ 12V Fan Replace Standard Roof Vent On 1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe
The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - White # MA00-04000K you were looking at will require the roof of your 1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe to be 2"-6-1/2" thick, and will require a 14" x 14" opening. If you find that your roof is not quite thick enough you can use lumber to frame out the opening to add thickness. There is no reason the # MA00-04000K will not work for your camper, but you will need to add a 12v power wire and ground wire from your camper...

  • Installation of MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent
While we would not have any way to know for sure it is unlikely there is going to be wiring run. In order to install the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K you would need to use Primary Wire - 16 Gauge # DW02359-1 to run wire to a 12V power source. This vent is designed to fit standard RV roof openings of 14” x 14” and a minimum roof thickness of 1-1/8” to a maximum of 6-1/2”; it will also require the use of Sealant # 0160297 to ensure a tight bond between the flange and roof.

For your Fiberglass Camper Shell I recommend the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - White # MA00-07500K due to it being able to be controlled with a remote making opening the vent or turning on the fan an easy task. In addition, I was able to fit comfortably eleven individual 16-gauge wire # DW02359-1 into the 1/2-inch wire loom.
