Can MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent W/ 12V Fan Replace Standard Roof Vent On 1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe
Question:
Hi there, Im looking to install a MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - White Item # MA00-04000K In my 1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe. It currently just has a vent. I was reading in a review that there is a 2 minimum. Is this the minimum roof thickness needed for installation? Any reason this product wouldnt work for my camper? Thanks!

The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - White # MA00-04000K you were looking at will require the roof of your 1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe to be 2"-6-1/2" thick, and will require a 14" x 14" opening. If you find that your roof is not quite thick enough you can use lumber to frame out the opening to add thickness.
There is no reason the # MA00-04000K will not work for your camper, but you will need to add a 12v power wire and ground wire from your camper to the fan. The black wire on the fan is power, and the white wire on the fan is the ground. You will want to use 16 gauge wire like # DW02359-1 which is sold by the foot and butt connectors # DW05744-5 to make these connections.
I included a video review of the # MA00-04000K for you to take a look at.
