Can the MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-04000K be Left Open Without Rain Getting Inside

I have a Ford Transit Connect and I have searched all of the reviews, questions, and info about this fan. My question is can you operate this fan while it is raining without rain getting inside?

The only way to operate the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-04000K without rain getting inside is to also install the MaxxAir II Rain Cover # MA76JR.

If you are wanting a single-piece unit that includes a rain cover and utilizes a thermostat and a manual lift then the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K for Smoke or # MA00-05100K for White is exactly what you are looking for.

All of these roof vents come with mounting hardware but you will also need some sealant like part # 0160297 and possibly some extra wire like part # DW02359-1 to complete the install.

For a white MaxxAir roof vent you would want the part #MA00-04000K. Then for a rain cover to fit this roof vent we have the part #MA00-955001. While the roof vent I recommended does not have the mounting tabs you mentioned it will fit the cover.
