All items arrived, except for one missing bolt for the Electric Jack. Additionally, the wheels arrived with numerous scratches on the surface of the mag wheels, indicating they were not adequately packaged. Proper protective material should have been placed over the wheels to prevent them from moving and getting scratched inside the packaging. I am going out of town or I would have had them replaced.

Product showed up on time as promised.

This is almost all of what's needed to install the Autowbrake. I rated 5 stars because the essentials are there, and provide guides when running to the hardware store to buy more ring terminals. The box itself is well built. I didn't use any of the weather-tight crimp connectors. The lack of mounting screws I can understand, because different ones are needed for mounting on metal than wood. I used 1.5" long self-tapping metal screws to mount onto my trailer's tongue.

This box has plenty of room to mount the Autowbrake wiring and the wiring from two 7 way cables. I chopped off the existing 7 way plug and purchased a new plug/cable to have enough wire for installation.

Good kit, but maybe some more ring terminals instead of the weather tight crimp connectors would be nice.

etrailer is an amazing company. This was the very first time I placed an order with etrailer and it was way above and beyond my expectations. Everything I needed for my trailer was in stock. I placed my order on a Sunday night and it was shipped for FREE the following day. My order was delivered 4 days later in excellent condition with the correct items that I ordered. It was easy to track my order from the warehouse to my front door from the shipping email that I received from etrailer. Thanks for the great experience! You will always have my business!! • Wiring Needed For Adding Electric Trailer Brakes To a Utility Trailer
It sounds like the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 might be what you are needing for your Jeep. This kit includes the wiring for the 7-way and Brake Controller # RED52VR along with a 20, 30 and 40 amp circuit breakers. Otherwise you would just have to get a 40Amp Circuit Breaker # PK54240PL to use with the Kit # 331-CBK30-EB. For the trailer you will need a Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector # H20046, Junction Box and Installation Kit # 3430001-JBK, Breakaway Kit # 3802346 and 12-Gauge...

  • 7-Way Connector and Wiring Configuration When Connecting To Junction Box On Trailer
It really comes down to the 7-way and wiring you are using. You saw the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector # HM20087 which uses the following wiring configuration. White: ground wire Red: left turn/brake light Brown: right turn/brake light Green: tail lights Yellow: reverse lights Blue: electric brakes Black: auxiliary power We also have the Hopkins 7-Way Auto Blade Style Connector # HM20041 that uses the more common color configuration. • Parts Needed For Installing Electric Trailer Brakes On a Utility Trailer With Dexter 3,500LB Axle
First you will need to verify that your Dexter axle has a Brake Flange # 4-35 to attach the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA. The brake kit includes both the left and right side brake assemblies which are self-adjusting for better performance and to save you on having to adjust the brakes every 3,000 miles. Next you will need 2 Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assemblies # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K to replace your idler hubs. These have your same 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern along with the...

  • Parts Needed To Install 5 On 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern Hubs On a 1987 M105A2 Trailer
To be able to run the same 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for your Jeep Wrangler on the M105A2 trailer you are going to have to cut off your current spindles to have 2 Spindles # TRU77FR installed. This is the common size spindle found on a 3,500lb axle which will then let you install 2 of the Hub/Drums # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K. With these you will want to install Electric Brakes # 23-468-469 since they are much better on an Overlanding trailer than surge type brakes. We do have a Junction Box # 3430001-JBK...

  • Adding 4-Way to R-Pod for Light Kit on Bike Rack
The Cargo Carrier Light Kit # 52014 is a good light kit but I you might consider looking at the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 instead because they install by via adhesive instead of brackets and the lights have connectors that will be a little easier to disconnect. When it comes to adding a 4-Way wiring to the back of your R-Pod I recommend using the Junction Box Kit # 3430001-JBK on the tongue of your trailer. This gives you the ability to cut and splice the original wiring...

  • Parts Needed To Install Electric Drum Brakes On a PWC Trailer With 3,000LB Axle
Thank you for the pictures Matt. I do see you have the backing plate for the brakes so you are most likely going to have #84 spindle since your axle has a 3,000lb capacity. You can verify this by removing one of your hubs and measuring the landings for the grease seal(1.719"), inner bearing(1.378") and outer bearing(1.063"). If this matches what you have you will want the following parts. Electric Drum Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA Hub/Drum # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K Qty 2 Junction Box # 3430001-JBK...

  • Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller VS Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller
Both the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 and Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # TK94FR are great options to add a brake controller to the trailer. This is ideal if you have one trailer that you need to use the brake controller for. The Autowbrake will require you to wire in the module to your 7-Way Junction Box # 3430001-JBK. If you do not feel comfortable with wiring the Tekonsha simply plugs in line on your trailer 7-way. Both controllers are proportional...

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Brakes Onto a 3,500LB Dexter Axle Without Brakes
The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-26-27 is the correct kit for your Dexter 3,500lb torsion axle studs. This includes both the left and right hand side brakes for one axle. It does not include a hub. I do recommend looking at the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 instead as the brakes adjust while you drive saving you on having to adjust the breaks as they wear. This also maintains a more constant brake feel with less adjustment required on the vehicle...

  • Parts Needed to Install Electric Brakes On a Tandem Axle Trailer With 3,500 Torque Axles Salt Water
With your trailer being in an environment where it is exposed to both salt water and fresh water I would highly recommend going with a disc brake setup. There are much fewer components on the brakes to become damaged from the elements with disc brakes. You will need 4 of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Assemblies # DE89YR with a Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit # CAR-HBA16-2. You will most likely need a Adapter Module # HBA-CAM for your factory brake controller but be sure to check...

Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out! The only true electric trailer jack made to fit a standard boat trailer with a pole tongue is the Fulton XLT Powered Drive Trailer Jack # F141401. Even though this is the only option available, Fulton has added some provisions (like the ZMax finish and stainless ACME screws) to help make it more durable and built to resist corrosion from water.
