And then right up front here, these are the 2 inch diameter ball or the 2 5/16 diameter ball, provide your connection point for your trailer coupler. Hi there, haulers. Today we're gonna be taking a look and showing you how to use CURT's two inch draw bar with a six inch drop, and a four inch rise. And this is what our ball mount looks like when it's installed. Since we're working with a Civic here, that has a hitch that it's so low to the ground, we've got it in the rise position here. And what that's gonna do for us is raise our ball up high enough so when we hook to a trailer, we can haul our trailer at a nice level plane. If we we're to just put it in here, as it was, our trailer would be dipped down really far, and that would really change the way the weight is loaded on our trailer, and it could make it less safe to drive like that, so we wanna make sure we've got it appropriate so we can haul properly. more

Hi there, trailer owners. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Curt's chrome-plated Class III drawbar with a two-inch drop. They come pre-installed in the drop position and you can get these with either a 1 7/8 inch ball, which is what we've got our trailer hooked to right now, or with a two-inch ball, which one I'm holding in my hand here. Now, if we take a look at both of our drawbars here, this is the 1 7/8 ball on the left and the two inch on the right. You can see the drawbars that they come with is gonna have the same weight ratings of 7,500 pounds for its gross towing capacity and 750 pounds for the tongue weight. That's for the drawbar, though, not for what the balls are rated for. more

If we take a look at our ball mount here, we can see we've got three balls that are welded onto the drawbar there. If we we're to turn it over here, we have our two inch ball here with a gross trailer rating of 7,500 pounds. Hi there, big truck, SUV, and lifted vehicle owners out there. Today we're gonna be taking a look at Curt's six-inch drop, four-inch rise drawbar with a two-inch ball. With six inches of drop, if you've got a larger truck or lifted vehicle or even a larger SUV in some cases, depending on where your hitch is mounted on that vehicle, you may need a considerable drop to get down to be able to haul your trailer when its level. Six-inch drops are typically for vehicles that are 20 inches or higher on their pitch height from the ground. You know, 20 inches is still kinda towards the bottom end. 22 and higher is more common. more

Brophy Ball Mount for 2 inch Hitch Review- Video
Today at etrailer, we're going to be taking a look at the Brophy Ball Mount. This is going to be for our two inch hitches, and it is going to give us a two inch drop or a three quarter of an inch rise. This is going to have a trailer tongue weight of about 1000 pounds and a gross trailer weight of 10,000 pounds, but really kind of makes that possible, it is a solid shank, so it's super, super beefy. It isn't going to be one of these ball mounts where we can get an anti-rattle system to go on the inside, but we do have other types of re anti-rattle systems that will work with this ball mount. I highly recommend doing that just because even when I put this pin in, just like that, you still have a lot of noise and play. So I don't like listening to it, and the components probably don't appreciate all that rattling around. more

AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be checking out this multi-ball ball mount from Curt. This is going to be great for, if you have a couple of different trailers that have or need different ball sizes, you can easily pull the pin, pull this out and change it on the fly. So, depending on which one you need, you get all three of them here in one ball mount as long as your trailer or whatever is close to level, this will be easy to flip this around and use this. It beats having that one dedicated ball mount where you have to unscrew it and tighten it down every time you need to switch one of the balls out.
