The Tekonsha Push to Test Breakaway Kit # 50-85-313 that you referenced is designed to charge a breakaway battery. It would not charge your trailer battery that you use for accessories.
To put a maintenance charge on your trailer battery that runs accessories you would need to run a wire from the 12 volt accessory circuit of your trailer connector to the positive post of the trailer battery. This won't charge a dead battery though, it will just help keep a charged battery topped off.
To charge a dead trailer battery you would need a charger like the CTEK 3300 Battery Charger part # CTEK56353 that plugs into a wall outlet.
I attached a review video plus an FAQ on breakaway systems.
