Replacement for Dexter 8-248 Idler Hub  

Question:

I have a Dexter axle on my aluma aluminum trailer the order numbers on it are 82582-4 and DEX61031. I am looking for new hubs for it as they appear to be loose and should be replaced as I am traveling cross coumtry with it soon it is an older aluminum 14 foot trailer. the number on the hub is 8-248. what replacement should I use? Thanks Keith

Hi Keith; the Dexter 8-248 uses standard bearings for a 3,500 lb axle. If you want a hub and drum assembly the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K you were looking at will fit. The direct Dexter replacement for the idler hub is the # 84545BX or if you want it pre-greased the # 84545UC1-EZ.
