Replacement Brakes, 5 on 5 Hubs And Bearings For A Lippert 3,500 lb Axle

Question:

Hi, I have a car hauler with dual Lippert axles 1 has electric brakes. They are 5 on 5 bolt pattern and 2.25x10 brakes, 3500# axles. Im looking for a kit to replace the bearings/seals for both axles and a kit for replacing the electric brakes and drums on the one axle. I see your site refernces Dexter a lot, are these interchangable?

Hello Eric. The Lippert 3,500 lb axles use standard sizing for the brakes, hubs and bearings. So, the Dexter parts you see on our site are absolutely interchangeable. The Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes that you were looking at will be exactly what you need. We can also hook you up with bearing kits and the 5 on 5 hubs. I recommend the following:

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K # 23-26-27

Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3.5K Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 5 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K

Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and AL-KO Axles - 3,500 lb with #84 Spindle # BK2-100

Keep in mind that the hub/drums come with bearings and seals. So you will need two hubs and two bearing kits to cover the whole trailer. The brakes are sold as a pair. If you would like to replace the non-braking hubs you can use part # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K.
