What's up, everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Furrion outlet cover. We're gonna be installing it right here on our outdoor outlet. Let's check it out. On the outside of your rig, you do not want any exposed outlets. The elements can get to them and cause issues.
So if you have a broken outlet cover, you can easily replace it with one of the Furrion outlet covers. So we're gonna line it right up there. Just line up the four holes and add the screws with it. It's gonna be far better to have this over your outlet. It's got that spring-loaded lid on it, to help keep it protected from the elements.
It's gonna be made out of durable, UV-resistant plastic on the outside. It's gonna help stand up to the sun and the elements. On the inside, you have a built-in seal to help protect your outlets, to keep moisture from building up or getting inside, as well. Nice thing about being spring-loaded is you can never leave it open by accident. So once you let go of it, snaps back into place.
Now it will be propped open when you have cords plugged in, but that's not that big a deal. Overall, I really like the spring-loaded cover for the outlet. Like I said, I can't leave it open to the elements. It snaps back into place really well, and just keeps everything protected. Well, I think that does it.

When the spring loaded top snapped off our 15 amp outside outlet during a recent camping trip I was at a loss as to what to do.
