Which Connector Is Needed To Install Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller On a 2018 VW Atlas?
Question:
I want to install a brake controller at my 2018 VW Atlas with tow package. Id like to understand if I have to choose C51170-C51515 or C51170-C51522. I cant figure out what the difference between those two is.

Both the kits come with the same Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 for your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The Universal Wiring Adapter # C51515 is needed if your Atlas does not have the factory brake controller wiring. While the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter # C51522 is designed to plug into the factory trailer wiring connector. If you have the factory connector with a factory 7-way the connector should be behind the left kick panel in the drivers compartment.
If you do not have a factory 7-way we do have a 4-Way # C56383 which you can combine with our 7-Way Kit # ETBC7. This will call for the Universal Wiring Adapter # C51515 for the brake controller.
