Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the CURT OEM 5th wheel hitch legs for the Ram towing prep package. Has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2013 to 2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with the eight foot long beds and the factory installed underbed towing prep package.

This custom base right here is especially designed to attach to the receivers in your Ram truck's factory installed, underbed 5th wheel towing prep package. And it will adapt to most CURT 5th wheel hitch heads to fit the Ram puck system. The hitch head will bolt right in the middle here. These legs will work with the following CURT hitch heads, the A16, the A20, the A25. Also, the E16, and the Q20, Q24, and Q25 hitch heads.

All of those heads we do sell separately on our website. Now, this does use a quarter turn anchoring system here for a nice, quick installation and removal. And I just wanted to zoom in on that and show you how that operates. We're just gonna look at one leg and you'll do this on all four legs. But basically, when you go to install this, what you'll do is pop this clip off.

And it is tethered so you don't lose it. And then you'll just rotate this handle out a quarter of a turn. And if you notice, when you rotate that handle, this tab right down here will turn. And you'll do that on all four legs. And now, you're ready to drop it in.

Once you drop it into the factory Ram puck system, that tab will drop down. And you'll rotate it back a quarter of a turn and that tab rotates and locks into that puck system. Take your clip, put it back in there. Latch it close and it'll hold the handle in place. Now, these anchors can be adjusted to eliminate any movement between the legs and the underbed rails. So, when you go to install, if it fits pretty loose, what you can do is actually slide out this cotter pin, rotate that nut, and then put your cotter pin back in there and that would eliminate a lot of the movement between the connection. And again, you could do that on either leg. Now, this is co-cured in a rust resistant liquid a-coat. It is protected by a durable, dark gray trim finish. And as we mentioned, has a gross towing weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the CURT OEM 5th wheel hitch legs for the Ram towing prep package..
