Is it Easy for a Woman to Install Pin and Clip with Curt Trailer Hitched Installed on a Mini Cooper
Question:
Hello, Im interested in this hitch, is it easy for a woman to reach and place the pin and clip? Do you sell any other pin thats convenient for this hidden hitch? Normally the clip needs much effort to lock into the pin and I cant imagine doing this with the hitch hidden inside the bumper. I want to use it for carrying my bike.Thank you for your very nice video.

It is probably easier for a woman to insert or remove the hitch pin and clip once Curt trailer hitch # C11126 installed on a Mini. Without trying to sound sexist women tend to have smaller features and could reach in and place the pin in with more ease than a big, hairy man arm.
Pin # C21410 is cushioned which would lessen the stress on the hands. Otherwise you would be looking at a locking hitch pin which would probably be even more difficult.
Curt does state that when using this rack for non-trailer loads, such as your bike rack, you will also need to use stabilization strap # 18050. The strap is designed to reduce some of the stress on the hitch.
