No Power to the Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller # TK90160 on a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I have a 2012 Chevy 1500 Silverado. I installed the tekonsha primus IQ and hooked it up just like the video showed. After the installation I cannot get the controller to power up. Is there a fuse missing in the fuse box to power the stud in the front for the power wire? Or what else could be causing the problem

There may be a fuse missing in the under hood fuse box to power the brake controller. There is also a possibility that the tow package wiring was not completed at the fuse box. GM did not always complete the tow package wiring under the hood on all of their trucks. I have attached an article that addresses the additional connections that must be made under the hood for you to check out.
Once you pull the cover off of the fuse box, you will see two threaded posts on the front side of the fuse box. If there are no wires attached to those posts, then you will want to connect the wires first. To the right side of the fuse box, between the drivers side fender and the fuse box, you should see a wire with a ring terminal, possibly taped to another wiring harness. That wire should be connected to the left post and provides power to the brake controller.
The next wire that you may need to locate is the 12 volt power lead for your trailer connector. This wire will be to the left of the fuse box taped to a wire harness under the power brake booster. This wire should be ran to the right post on the fuse box.
Finally, you may need to install the fuses if they are not already present. There should be a legend for your fuse box on the fuse box cover and in your owners manual. You will want to use a 30-amp fuse for the brake controller power and a 40-amp fuse for the 12 volt power lead. You will want to check for fuses in fuse locations 6, 63 and 68.
