The Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C47CR will allow you to weld on a receiver to your 2005 Thomas school bus. This hitch has brackets which will give you a 9" drop from your frame. The hitch is designed to fit a frame width 18-44" wide.

For the wiring you will want to start with the Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496. This will connect to the tail lights on your bus and provide the lighting for your trailer. It will connect to the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672 which will allow you to wire in a 7-way. You will need enough Duplex Wire # 10-2-1 to run to the battery and to run the brake line for the Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller # HA100400C. This controller is designed for vehicles with air brakes towing a trailer with electric brakes. A 30-Amp Circuit Breaker # PK54230PL is needed for the brake controller while a 40-Amp Circuit Breaker # PK54240PL is needed for the charge line.
