When in Tow Mode is Curt E16 Slider Hitch Centered Between Rails

Question:

I currently have a standard 5th wheel hitch mounted on a Reese window frameinch in my 2020 Ram 2500HD 6.4 bed with the 6.7 Cummins. I have the puck system in the bed. My receiver appears to be centrally located fore and aft in my hitch. Looking at the pictures of the R16 slider, it appears that in tow mode, the receiver is significantly forward of the center of the of the mechanism, thus even more significantly reducing turnability. Am I seeing it correctly? I like the idea of a slider, but dont want to make tow mode turnability worse than it already is.

Like basically all fifth wheel hitches the Curt E16 part # 16516 that you referenced would have the center of it's jaws right in the center between the two rails it installs in when in the slid forward, tow mode. The pictures are a little misleading since a good portion of the slide hangs over the rear rail and makes it look off balance almost.
