Parts Needed to Add Brakes to 3,500 lb Dexter Trailer Axle

Question:

I have a trailer with a dexter 3500lb single axle. Tag on axle shows DEX# 9750227 s/n 129388197 HF=84.5 SC=70 unique id 129388197030 I want to add brakes to this trailer. What will I need? Tires are 6 bolt. There is a flange on the axle with four holes in it. I am assuming I will need the brake assembly and a hub for each side and appropriate wiring. thanks

Thanks for all of the info you mentioned of your Dexter 3,500 lb trailer axle. Based on that the correct hub/drums you'd need to add brakes to your trailer would be the etrailer hub/drum part # AKHD-655-35-K that you mentioned and then for the correct brake assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA and you'd be set. Only thing else you'd need is 10 gauge wire to wire them up with part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
