Hitch Receiver Dimensions and Weight Capacity for a 2018 Honda Civic
Question:
I was interested in this product but I would like to know the distance between the end of the hitch to the top of the bumper fascia for a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback to see if it would be compatible with my bike rack see attached image. Also, I would like to know the true weight capacity of this hitch. I was looking to put two approx 50 lbs ebikes plus the bike rack total of approx 154 lbs on it and I read that other users had damage to their frames. Thanks.

I would be happy to help you. The answer to your question will depend on the trim model your 2018 Honda Civic is so I am going to give you the other measurements you will need to find the one you are looking for. The distance from the ground to the top of the Curt Hitch item # C92UR is 11-1/2". The receiver sits 2-1/2" back from the farthest edge of the bumper. The pin hole will is 4" from the edge of the bumper.
The tongue weight capacity of the Curt item # C92UR is 200 lbs. This may not be the true weight capacity of your 2018 Honda Civic though. You will need to consult your owners manual or contact the dealership with your VIN number to get your Civic's tongue weight capacity. You will want to go off of this number to determine the weight capacity of your Civic not the hitch receivers weight capacity. It is always the lowest rated component you need to follow.
