Recommended Bike Rack and Hitch to Carry Carbon Fiber Specialized StumpJumper with 2019 Honda Civic
Question:
Hi, I have a 2019 Honda Civic and I'm in the market for a hitch and bike rack to carry my Specialized StumpJumper bike that has a carbon fiber frame. What do you recommend?

The trailer hitch that you'll need to use to carry a bike rack, and ultimately your Specialized StumpJumper, with your 2019 Honda Civic is the Curt # C92UR. This is a Class I trailer hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that features a hidden cross tube for a really clean look after it is installed. Attached is an installation video for you to check out for the install.
Since your Specialized StumpJumper has a carbon fiber frame you want to go with a bike rack that doesn't make contact with the frame. This not only helps to protect the integrity of your frame, but it also helps to keep the paint job on your bike in great shape. For this I recommend the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2 Bike Platform Rack # SH12B because it not only uses a wheel mount configuration (secures your bike by the wheels) but it also only weighs around 30 pounds, keeping the majority of your tongue weight available to carry your bikes.
This rack also includes both a lock to keep the rack on your car and locks to secure your bikes to the rack, helping keep honest folks honest.
I have also linked an install video of the trailer hitch for you.
