Is There a 10K Trailer Hitch for a Forest River Legacy Motorhome
Question:
I have a 2015 Forest River Legacy 340BH. The specs say it can tow 10,000 pounds and it technically has the gcwr to tow that much, but for some reason it has a 5,000 pound hitch. Please see this link: Do you have a 10k hitch that will fit my motorhome?

I do have an option for you but most trailer hitches designed for motorhomes max out at 5,000 lbs. That said, there are options for a higher weight capacity but it won't be as simple as bolting it on as they require welding, the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-07 is our best option for this and we do recommend professional installation.
Please note, the existing trailer hitch will need to be removed and the new trailer hitch will then install on the outside of the frame rails via welding, the existing holes underneath will not be reused.
