Mounting 7-Way to etrailer Hitch e98844 on 2019 Toyota Highlander
Question:
I purchased this e98844 hitch with the wiring harness C56217 as recommended, and have the 4 flat going through the bottom of the trunk underneath the vehicle as opposed to hanging out the lift gate. I also bought C57672 Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way to 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat so that I could have multiple tow options. The problem is the C57672 cannot be attached to the bumper because the hitch is in the way of the rear of the wiring adapter. Do you have any similar adapters that will work with this hitch so I can permanently have my wiring beside the receiver? Or any other mounting options?

Thank you for the purchases, and there is a way to mount the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way to 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # C57672 directly to the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844 on your 2019 Toyota Highlander.
Since the hitch is directly under the bumper, what you can do is simply add a mounting bracket:
- No-Drill Mount Bracket, Long # 18136
This mounting bracket will secure directly to the hitch with the included hose clamp, and you'll then screw in the Curt 7-way directly to the bracket.
