Today we're going to take a look at the Smart T-sot mounting kit for Yakima high speed and high road roof bike racks. Now this is going to convert your bike racks from using the metal or the rubber coated straps that go around your crossbar to a T-style bike rack, so this will slide into the slot on your crossbar. This is going to work with most crossbars that have a top channel and this will replace the original hardware so that rubber coated metal strap that goes around the bar, this is going to replace that and the cover that goes over that attachment point.There's instructions that come with the kit that detail how to remove your old hardware and replace it but basically you're just going to slide this into the slot, turn it until it locks into place, and then secure it with the nut. That's going to provide the necessary tension to keep our high road or our high speed in place, and then we'll also have a tightening tool to tighten that down the rest of the way and apply the necessary torque on that bolt.We'll also get three new covers to go over our hardware as well, so you'll want to make sure to remove the original cover and replace it with one of these. Now those covers are going to measure 2 3/4" long by 1 1/2" wide and it's going to be about a 1/2" thick. Again, this is going to work with the Yakima high speed, which is part number Y02115 and the Yakima high road, which is Y02114.

Works with most crossbars with top channels.I tried this with the Yakima HighSpeed on a 2023 Model Y and there was a lot of overhang for my comfort, but it was secured tightly. Taking it on and off also felt like a pain because of the alignment with the screws and fearing the rack will slip and hit the roof glass. I decided to go back to the original straps.
Perfect for mounting bike carriers on top of the factory Yakima Aero bars so that I could still open the sunroof
Build a tonneau cover & 4x bike rack for a 2020 Raptor. The Yakima kit fit perfect on a RetraxPro XR with 4 Yakima HighRoad bike racks. Also used the T-slot kit for cleaner mounting. Works perfectly and seamlessly. Very pleased.

Great! I wish the covers held into place better, I gave up using them, but the nuts and driver are still super useful.
