Replacement Vehicle Side 4-Way and 7-Way Trailer Connection And Harness For 1999 Ford F-350
Question:
I have factory tow package with 7 and 4 way trailer harnesses, and the square vehicle wiring side plug. I want to replace this harness including the square plug to the trailer 7 and 4 way receivers including the mounting bracket. I essentially want this part 74682, but with the square plug for the vehicle side. I see in previous QandA the suggestion for part 118243 and C55243, but these are only 7 way receivers. I also found the suggestion for HM40975, but am curious if this end receiver will work with a part such as 118243?

Helpful Expert Reply:
While we do not have a single item that will connect to the square factory plug on your 1999 Ford F-350 we do have all the parts that will allow you to connect a new 7-way/4-way connector with wiring.
Both the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118243 and Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55243 have the correct connector that will plug into the factory wiring harness and allow you to plug in a combination plug like you are wanting.
Either harness will allow you to connect to the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket # HM40975.
