How To Lock the Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator
Question:
Hello, Looking at the Dexter Axle Brake Actuator - 099-175-20 in the e-catalog for a new surge brake on my boat trailer and need some help clarifying its design. How do you lock this to the towing vehicle? With the push button style coupler, there is no through hole for a lock and there appears to be no other way to lock the trailer to the tow vehicle. SO hoping you can answer. Thanks!

The tethered pin on the Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator part # 099-175-20 is what will be used to secure the hitch ball inside the trailer coupler. If you're looking for security then this can be replaced with the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock part # e98888.
