Can Curt T-Connector C56329 and Curt 7-way Connector C57672 Use Same Power Wire To Battery?
Question:
Can the CURT 56329 and the CURT 57672 use the same connection/wire that is supposed to go to the car battery? If I use the back up light function for the CURT 57672 on a 2009 Ford Escape everything Im reading and the instructional videos say to connect the yellow wire to the reverse light circuit. Can you tell me where the easiest place to connect to the reverse light circuit would be? Thank you!

You will need to run two wires to the battery of your 2009 Ford Escape to install both the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56329 and Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way to 7-Way # C57672.
The reason for this is the power wire for the # C56329 uses a 15 amp fuse as it is just for powering the converter for the lights, where the black wire of the # C57672 is for the 12v trailer battery circuit which uses a 30/40 amp circuit breaker.
Now with all of the being said I unless you are just needing the lighting functions in a 7-way connector and don't need the 12v power, or brake output wire you would be better off with the # ETBC7 as it has the same style 7-way connector but includes all of the required wire and circuit breakers to complete the installation.
If you trailer hitch receiver does not have a built in mounting bracket for a 7-way connector to connect to you will also need no drill mounting bracket # 18140.
Regarding the reverse light wire, typically trailers do not have reverse lights so the majority of customers just tape up the yellow wire. If your trailer does have reverse lights you will need to use some # DW02414-1 to run from the connector to the reverse lights on your vehicle, and splice into the wire using a quick splice # SWC502905-1.
Using a circuit tester # PTW2993 will help you find the correct reverse light wire.
I included a few videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
