Recommended Steps for Schoolie Conversion with 46" Entry Height

Question:

Hi! I’m converting a school bus and the floor height might be a couple inches above 42”. Let’s say 45-46.” Does that mean these steps will be an impossible option for us? Thanks

I have a solution for you to solve the step conundrum that you're in, but your assumption is correct; the MORryde # MR88RR are also the tallest available option as far as fold up steps go and they would only work on entries up to 42". If your entry is in the 45"-46" range then these would not be an option.

Your best bet is going to be using something like the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 6 Steps - 27-1/2" Base - 325 lbs # TLA8006 which can be used on entry heights 46-1/2" to 60", so it should work for your schoolie conversion. If you measure and are slightly lower than that then you'll want to use the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 5 Steps - 27-1/2" Base - 325 lbs # TLA8005 which are for 39-1/2" to 52" tall entries.

I've linked a review video of these steps for you to check out, and if you don't think those would work and can provide some photos of where the steps will be mounted we can see if there is an alternate solution for you.
