Replacement 15K AC Units for a Dometic Model 641516
Question:
Hello, We have a 20 year old ceiling Ducted, Dometic Duo-Therm, model 641516, dual system with 2 RV rooftop units, using the old 5 button Comfort Control thermostat. We want to change and upgrade BOTH units to 15k A/C units A/C-only units, no heat pump please! when we have the roof replaced in a few weeks. Please advise what we need to purchase, including special installation frame to retrofit it to our 2004 National Tropi-Cal Class A roof that has the Dometics on it. We need a quote for both units, any retrofit accessories as we need to put everything in the hands of RV Flex Armour techs who will be removing the old and setting the new units for us. Thank you!

Thanks for the pictures! To replace your old Dometic Duo-Therm 641516 units you will want the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup w/ Start Capacitor item # ACDOM150 for white, or item # ACDOM150B for black. These will plug directly into your current Dometic setup to work with your existing air distribution box and thermostat. It is compatible with a ducted system.
I do not have any way of knowing what kind of installation kit you may or may not need. That's something your installer would know or be able to find out once he gets the old units off. These AC units are designed to be direct replacements. They require a roof that is 2-1/2" to 5" thick and an opening size of 14-1/4" long x 14-1/4" wide.

Hello again, you guys are out of ACDOM150 until the end of May, can I substitute ACM150 and add the ACMSCKIT capacitor kit to achieve the same results as ACDOM150? Roof job is scheduled for end of April. I can't wait until the end of May.
