Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 BMW X5 with M Sports Package
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 BMW X5 50I model. I see several of the hitches for that model say excluding M performance models I do not have the M model but I do have the M sport package option that says it has an Aerodynamic kit as part of it. Do I need the hitch for the M performance model or the standard X5 model hitch? Whats the difference in the hitch packages?

You'd want the Curt hitch part # 13077 which actually fits the 2016 BMW X5 models that have the M package as well as the ones without the package. Since you aren't totally sure if you have the M package the hitches are referring to this for sure would work since it fits both styles and even with that not factored this is still the best hitch for your vehicle so it's the way to go. It's mostly hidden, has plenty of towing capacity, and also installs pretty easy too.
