Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2012 Scion xD
Question:
Will this hitch fit on a 2012 model Scion xD?

We do have a trailer hitch that will fit your 2012 Scion xD, but the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch # 24828 is not a compatible fit.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11134 which is custom made for your vehicle. This receiver is a Class I 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch with a weight capacity of 2000 lbs and a tongue weight of 200 lbs. It features bolt-on installation with no welding required. I have included a link to the installation instructions as well.
The recommended ball mount with the hitch is # C45521. If you need a ball, you might want to go with the # 19256 1-7/8 inch ball or the # 19258 2 inch ball. Then use # F-4 for the pin and clip.
For trailer wiring, you might be interested in the Curt Wiring # C56136 that is custom-made for your Scion xD.
Finally, if you are planning to use this hitch for non-trailer loads, you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap # 18050. Curt requires this item on items such as bike racks and if it is not included, it may void the warranty. I have included a link to a video review of this product.
