Recommended Weight Distribution System For 2016 Nissan Frontier Towing Jayco Trailer w/ 320lb TW
Question:
Looking for a recommendation for a weight distribution system. 2016 Nissan Frontier CrewCab SB SV 4x4 towing a Jayco SLX 175RD 3750 GVWR, 320 lb hitch weight. Ive driven over 5000 miles with no significant sway that Im aware of, but the back of my truck does sag a bit and I like to be more on the safe side. If so, which one? Im looking at the Husky HT32215.

A weight distribution system will work great to help redistribute the load from the rear axle of your 2016 Nissan Frontier CrewCab SB SV 4x4 when towing your Jayco SLX 175RD to both axles of your truck and trailer. This will provide a safer towing experience due to having your front tires better planted on the ground, and will help to lengthen the life of the rear suspension components on your truck.
Since you have not had any issues with sway in the 5000 miles you have towed your trailer, I recommend Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0450 which has a maximum tongue weight rating of 450lbs and a maximum trailer weight rating of 4500lbs. The Fastway # FA92-00-0450 does have built in two point sway control, and will put your in the middle of the tongue weight rating of the hitch which is 100-450lbs.
Keep in mind that the total tongue weight includes any weight of added to the rear of your vehicle behind the rear axle and the tongue weight of your trailer fully loaded, so if you are loading extra weight in the bed you may need to step up to the next system. I included a helpful article that goes over how to measure your total tongue weight.
If you find yourself needing system with a higher tongue weight rating the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 system you were looking at is rated from 400-600lbs of total tongue weight and is a great option if your total tongue weight is over the 450lb maximum of the Fastway # FA92-00-0450.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
