3rd Axle Addition on Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler
Question:
Hey fellas, I’m looking at my first fifth wheel. I have a 2017 Dodge 3500 w a Cummins for towing but it is a single wheel rear not dually. I have a found a couple trailers i like but only have dual, axle. I believe the third axle will give me piece of mind traveling where ever I go, and from what I have read, the added stability and breaking has saved more than a few folks from getting into bad accidents. Fifth wheel toy hauler 3rd axle addition I would definitely pay someone to do this, just don’t know where to start , etc. Thanks

You can absolutely add a 3rd braking axle to your trailer. You will simply want to match your current axle for dimensions and capacity. I've linked the page to your options we carry to assist.
Then you will need to change your hanger locations so, I recommend using the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front/Rear, 2-1/2" Center # APTT3 and I've attached a help article to assist with the placement. The leaf springs you need will depend on the axle capacity of your trailer.
