Brake Controller Installation Parts Needed for 2010 Toyota Sequoia
Question:
We have 2010 Sequoia Limited that has the white plug under dash and factory 4/7 pin adapter at hitch. Would I need the install kit to go with braking controller package?

If by 'install kit' you're referring to a wiring adapter like the # 3040-P you'd looked at, then yes you'll need a wiring adapter to install a brake controller on your 2010 Toyota Sequoia with the factory 7-way.
If you haven't yet chosen a brake controller, I'd recommend a proportional model like the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160. The Primus is simple to operate, and features a full LED display that will let you know all the diagnostic information as well as power output. You'll also need the Tekonsha # 3040-P wiring adapter which would plug into the white connector you'd found above and to the left of the emergency brake pedal.
I've linked to a video showing a brake controller installation on a 2nd generation Sequoia.
