Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for Short Bed Truck That Doesn't Need Slider Hitch Clearance

Question:

I currently have a slider hitch installed in my 2014 F250 with the 6-3/4 box. I really dont care for it. It does chuck rattle and grind quite a bit. It also doesnt slide all that well. I have never had to use the slide but I have come close. Many of my friends tell me I dont really need the slider. Im in the market for a fixed hitch to eliminate all the noise from the slider. Does the 4inch of adjustment eliminate the need for a slider hitch for my style truck?

The Blue Ox Patriot hitch part # BWRVK3255 that you referenced would be a great solution for what you need. Since you haven't really needed the slider mechanism in the past the offset that the head of the hitch allows would be enough to prevent turning clearance issues. Also this hitch has a really great jaw design so it will hold the king pin of the trailer very tightly. This translates in a very quiet and smooth ride quality unlike your current slider hitch.
