How to Replace the Screen on Ventline Vanair Trailer Vent # VP-543SP

Screen is a bit torn and debris has collected on top of the screen. Apparently the previous owner never closed this shower vent. Can this screen be replaced w/o taking the entire vent and cover apart?

You can replace the screen on Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent, # VP-543SP, in a few easy steps. Make sure that the screws that hold on the handle are exposed. Remove them and then the handle. Next unscrew the small black piece that holds the switch to the screen assembly. Then remove the 2 screws holding on the screen and pull out the screen. Reverse the process to put in the new screen. I made a video that shows how to do this.

I believe that the only way to go about this, if you cannot get a tool in that space, is to do exactly like you said and go in from the outside. If you do not have the handle pulled all the way down, that could be the problem as well. I would assume…
