7-Way Recommendation for 2001 Toyota Tacoma with Reverse Light Circuit Active
Question:
I want to add a 7 pin connector to my 2001 Tacoma which has no wiring now only to match the connection from the trailer AND to power the backup lights and running lights. Is there a way to make that happen without buying the t-one 4 pole and the 7 way RV upgrade kit?

Expert Reply:
Since we don't have a 7-way kit for your 2001 Toyota Tacoma the best solution is to start with a 4-way that fits your 2001 Toyota Tacoma like part # 118379 and then convert to a 7-way with # 37185 and connect just the reverse light circuit of the adapter (purple wire) to the reverse lights of the vehicle and you'd be set with the easiest solution to what you are needing.
