There are a number of parts that are needed in order to flat tow your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and the best tow bar available in the Nighthawk is a great start. To make it simple for you to order, I'll list all the parts you need to tow your '19 Cherokee Trailhawk with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676.
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521451-5 (note: will not fit models with Active Air Shutters)
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
OR
- For a motorhome with air brakes: Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motorhomes with Air Brakes # SM99243
You may also need a high-low adapter such as # RM-048-4 in order to keep your tow bar level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter, as well as a link to our selection of adapters.
As for the other parts for your Jeep, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates are great because they have removable tabs which means your Jeep is going to maintain its look when you aren't flat towing. The Flexo-Coil wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your electrical system safe, and both the Stay-IN-Play DUO and Air Force One are strongly recommended because they are one-time installs which will never require any type of removal or reactivation. These systems give you braking proportional to that of your motorhome, resulting in smoother braking than other systems.
I have added links to installation videos of these parts on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee for you to check out as well.
