Can the 8 Drop Dual Hitch Adapter Be Used for Towing
Question:
I have a lifted 97 Jeep TJ. I will need the eight inches for towing. My question is I want to tow my 5foot by 8foot utitly trailer and my rod rack on the top receiver. Will the RM-0778 work?

I do have an option for you but none of the dual hitch adapters that provide adequate drop can be used for towing. Instead, you'd need to go with a standard ball mount with the drop you need like the Curt Ball Mount part # C45090. Then, you can carry the rod rack on the tongue of the trailer (if a-frame) with the Swagman Straddler part # S80503 or on the front of the vehicle with a front mount trailer hitch, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31028.
