Are Any Trailer Wiring Harnesses for 1996 Jeep Cherokee Plug and Play
Question:
Im looking for a wiring harness for a 96 Cherokee that is plug and play. The only ones I see require splicing wires.

I can completely understand not wanting to splice wires, but I checked with the manufacturers and there is no option for a plug-and-play or plug-in trailer wiring harness for your 1996 Jeep Cherokee, so hardwiring is the only way to add a trailer wiring harness.
For that I recommend the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit with 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester # 119178KIT.
I like this kit because it includes everything you need, including the circuit tester and quick splices for install. I've added a link to the instructions for you to check out, and if you are looking for a towing set up for your 1996 Cherokee you'll also need a hitch, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13084.
I've added links to videos for you to check out as well.
