Will Gooseneck Hitch Ball from 2017 Nissan Titan Fit 2019 Ram 3500 with OEM Gooseneck Hitch

So I owned a 2017 Nissan Titan Cummins. I now own a 2019 Dodge Ram 3500. The gooseneck ball from the Titan seems to be a perfect fit. Even tho dodge says mopar has special ball. So I guess another question is, if it is a fit, then is the Titan factory ball designed for load of my 3500? My camper weight is about 1550 dry weight on pin. I pulled it with Titan. I hook all this to a Anderson hook up for fifth wheels. I just don’t want the ball to pop out of its seating. It seams to lock down fine. After saying all this if I need another ball what would I need? Thanks

Odds are you are just fine using the hitch ball from your 2017 Nissan Titan for your 2019 Ram 3500 with the OEM gooseneck connection. Just to be sure, I went out to our warehouse and took some measurements on the hitch ball that comes with the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit # C60618 which is compatible with the OEM Ram gooseneck hitch. The shank had a 2-1/4" diameter and then from the base of the hitch ball to the center of the bearing that locks it in place was about 1-1/2". If the hitch ball from your Nissan Titan matches these specs then I see no reason why you can't use your current hitch ball.
If you wanted to play it extra safe then the kit I mentioned above, part # C60618, is what you can use for your setup. It has a 30,000 lb weight capacity which should be over what your Ram can tow and means that your pickup is the limiting factor instead of the hitch ball.
