Congratulations on your new Subaru! We have just what you are looking for the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" part # EH34FR is custom made for your Outback and when installed looks really nice on the vehicle. This is my favorite because it really doesn't change the look of the Outback all that much. After installation all you see is the receiver tube opening.
If you plan on hauling a trailer or cargo carrier I also recommend you have wiring the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118467 is my go to on any installation that I do. It has proven to be extremely reliable. It is also custom fit and requires no cutting or splicing of your factory wiring. It will install in the rear cargo area on the drivers side close to the rear seats. It is a very easy installation to complete and will give you years of great service.
If you don't have a ball mount already we have a nice kit available that gives you a lot of drop and rise options for many different types of trailer. It is part # 989900
