Wiring Lance Slide In Camper to Work with In-Bed Trailer Connector on 2019 ford F250

Question:

I had a 1999 f350 for my lance slide in camper. I purchased a new 2019 f250 that has the 5th wheel pkg. This includes a 7 pin outlet only 6 are used on driver side in back of bed. This also has a trailer brake controller and that is wired into the plug. I do not pull a trailer but I believe It could be adapted to fit my existing camper plug. The Lance came with a female 7 pinround hole style and only 6 are used. Is there an adapter that can be connected to a wire harness long enough to reach the back of the bed so I can plug in my camper. I believe it is a std. configuration for the wiring. I would like to have the harness such that I can plug it into the receptacle in the bed and pull it to the front of the bed and plug in my camper cord. Can you help me. Thanks If I need to send picture s I can probably make that happen.

Helpful Expert Reply:

Since the 7-way round pin plug is obsolete, your best bet would be to replace the connector on your camper with the common 7-way blade style connector. You'd remove the existing plug on your slide in camper, and replace it with # A7WCB. You could then use an extension like # C56080 to reach the connector rearward of the wheel well.
