Can Lance Truck Safely Be Rewired to Match Truck 7-Way Plug

I have been told that the Lance plug is meant for an 8ga “Hot” and “Ground”. If I convert from the 6 pin to the 7 pin, will this affect my vehicle or camper?

As long as you wire the 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector # A7WCB to match the functions of your vehicle-side 7-Way (see attached) then you won't have any issues with anything form your Lance camper to your vehicle.
