It is not recommended to use the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter with a short bed truck because of turning clearance. It does not provide any turning clearance like a rotating pin box would, for example the Reese Side Winder.

The 5" Offset Ball for Hide-A-Goose Gooseneck Trailer Hitches part # 19308 is designed only for the Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, and Reese Hide-A-Goose gooseneck trailer hitches only so it will not fit your factory prep package in the Ram. There is not a gooseneck ball option that will provide an offset that fits into the factory prep.

If you already have the Goose box on the trailer I recommend to replace it with a Reese Side Winder and a fixed hitch part # BWRVK3600. To know which Side Winder you would need I need to know the serial number off the Goose Box.

If you do not have the Goose Box on the trailer already I recommend to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch in the factory ford prep. For that I recommend Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # DM8550034 and adapter part # DM6099 which will drop down into the prep package puck holes in the truck bed. The Hijacker has the auto slide feature so you don't have to get out of your truck to adjust the slider when you make turns which can become inconvenient especially in city traffic. It also features a 360 degree contact with the king pin to prevent the rattling and chucking you may experience with other fifth wheel brands.
