Should Bunk Board Carpet be Removed When Installing Dutton-Lainson Roller Bunks

Mounting directly on bunk boards. When mounting directly on bunk boards should carpet be removed first or can they be mounted on top of the existing carpet?

Good question, and you can mount the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk - 5' Long Sections - 12 Sets of 3 Rollers # DL21741 directly to your carpeted bunk boards without any issue. If the carpet on the boards are on the verge of needing replacement or rotting out it may be a good idea to just get rid of the carpet but if not you can just leave it on the wooden boards.
