I can help you determine which wires go to which functions for your trailer, though there is no way to determine this by color; the reason for that is functions are not determined by the color of the wire and there isn't a universal standard for this.
So in order to determine the functions for your trailer use a separate 12 volt battery and run a jumper wire in order to apply power to the circuit which will tell you the functions of each wire.
In regards to a plug, I recommend a plug and lead for the easiest install, the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # H20043. You will only need Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 (12-10 gauge) and # DW05744-5 (16-14 gauge).
I have added a link to a video review of this connector for you to take a look at as well as a link to a help article on trailer wiring which I highly recommend reading.
