Will this kit fit a 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad without Factory trailer wiring. What other parts will I need for a complete installation this on the vehicle.

The Tekonsha # 22551 is a universal style of 7-way that could technically fit your 2018 Dodge Journey but it would not be the easiest solution so it would not be what I recommend.

Instead you'd want to start with a 4-way custom fit for your Journey with the # 118567 for if you have incandescent taillights or # 118536 if you have LED. This takes care of the taillight circuits in the easiest way possible. The harnesses easily install by plugging inline with the vehicle taillight connects. See install video attached.

Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is one of our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
