Troubleshooting No Trailer Turn/Brake Signals with 2007 GMC Acadia
Question:
I have a 2007 acadia SLT. It does not have the tow package but is AWD, has the hitch and wiring. All lights and signals work on the acadia but when I hook up the camper all it has are tail lights. No brake or turn signals. The camper works fine hooked up to the truck so I know its on the acadia end. It didnt have any of the relays in the engine fuse box so we put all those in. Still the problem persists. There’s no corrosion on the inside where you plug in the harness. Im at a loss with what to do next.

I do agree that the wiring issue you are experiencing is somewhere on your Acadia. You mentioned that the Acadia didn't come with the tow package but it does have the trailer wiring and hitch. This means you likely have a T-Connector wiring harness installed such as the Tekonsha # 118451 that plugs into factory ports behind the tail lights.
What I recommend doing is checking the white ground wire coming from the harness. Make sure this is still securely attached to a clean, bare metal surface that's free of any paint, debris, or corrosion. It might even be worth it to remove the ground connection, sand down the metal surface, and re-attach it.
A bad/weak ground can cause a lot of strange things to happen and since you've already ruled out the trailer and a blown/damaged fuse or relay this is the most likely culprit.
If the ground connection is fine then I recommend checking the contacts within the T-connector plugs. Make sure they are fully seated and there aren't any bent pins.
